With the economy suffering right now Jake and I have decided to evaluate our expenses and see where we could cut back. I thought I would post another question on my blog since you were all so great about answering the last one. What is your greatest money saving tip? I will try to post our money saving tips on the blog on a weekly basis. Thanks!

we don't eat out hardly ever, don't go to the movies either, and coupons, coupons, coupons,!!!! we buy kids clothes, shoes, etc at garage sales (half the things we have bought look like they have never been used). i just bought josiah a 'big boy' car seat for $5 at a garage sale...not stains on the seat either!!! um, if i buy at a store, it has to be on clearance...i never pay full price for anything. we buy what we need for that week at the store and don't stock up unless it's a good deal....
if i think of more, i'll let ya know!
Thrift stores, garage sales, clearance isles, hand me downs, ALDI, craigslist, and follow Dave Ramsey's budgeting program - works great for us!
ditto the hanson crew!!! :)
I employ a steady stream of guilt trips to convince Flint to not surrender to his gadget addiction. We also save money by doing laundry less often. It's unorthodox, but it works! ;)
i'm with bug! we only do laundry once per week. and surprisingly with 5 people I only do 5 full loads..that includes towels and sheets. I think when you do it whenever you tend to wash a lot of the same things over. Or leave things in the washer too long and have to wash again.
Also, we go to the movies, we just do it in the afternoon.
My Jagger likes a Kit Kat after school on Thursdays I buy them by the pack rather than spend $1 every time on a single one.
Do babysitting swaps instead of paying for someone. Although...my three are a handul so this doesn't work for me.
Love the suggestions so far!
